“Sierra Leoneans March on Washington against President Koroma’s Supreme Rule! Saturday April 11, 2015 @10am Lafayette Park adjacent to White House. Bring back our VP and account for Ebola Funds NOW!!

According to the National Coordinator of CSL-USA, Mr Aiah Fanday, thousands of Sierra Leoneans from across the United States will rally on Saturday, April 11, 2015 to protest the unconstitutional removal of the Vice President of Sierra Leone and gross mismanagement of Ebola money from local and international donors.

He further expressed in a press release that the speakers will urge the US Government to pressure the Government of Sierra Leone to reinstate the constitutionally elected Vice President and to account for missing money that was earmarked for the battle against the Ebola epidemic in Sierra Leone. As an important donor country, the U.S. has a clear interest in the preservation of peace and democracy in Sierra Leone. The U.S. has contributed millions of dollars to help end Sierra Leoneâs protracted civil war and more recently to stem the outbreak and devastation of Ebola.

The rally will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Lafayette Park (adjacent to the White House) in Washington, D.C., between 10:00 a.m. EDT and 4:00 p.m. For more information, Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad are asked to contact: Mr Aiah Fanday 001-240-821-3641 the National Coordinator of Concerned Sierra Leoneans USA, Mr. Mustapha Wai 001-301-222-3486,  Mr. Jesmed F. “Together, we must condemn President Ernest Koroma’s UNCONSTITUTIONAL action in sacking Sierra Leone’s elected vice president and to ask his government to account for the mismanaged EBOLA FUNDS”, Kemoh Sidibay confirmed.

“Our president EBK, in his dictatorial and imperial acts would leave no stones unturned in his callous, ugly and reckless attempt at burying the emergent and current views of the people. Unfortunately , he failed and forget to note in quick succession that like seeds. his successful attempt at burying our collective views only provided those views with fertile grounds and soil at growing more luxuriantly..”, Saa Kaimachiande emphasised.

A good number of APC supporters in the USA are also determined to counter-protest in support of the corrupt regime of Ernest Bai Koroma and his unconstitutional activities.

Other possible protests will take place at the UN Headquaters in New York and  Paris in France. Sierra Leoneans in Germany are also prepared to do likewise in Berlin.
