According to the National Coordinator of CSL-USA, Mr Aiah Fanday, thousands of Sierra Leoneans from across the United States will rally on Saturday, April 11, 2015 to protest the unconstitutional removal of the Vice President of Sierra Leone and gross mismanagement of Ebola money from local and international donors.
He further expressed in a press release that the speakers will urge the US Government to pressure the Government of Sierra Leone to reinstate the constitutionally elected Vice President and to account for missing money that was earmarked for the battle against the Ebola epidemic in Sierra Leone. As an important donor country, the U.S. has a clear interest in the preservation of peace and democracy in Sierra Leone. The U.S. has contributed millions of dollars to help end Sierra Leoneâs protracted civil war and more recently to stem the outbreak and devastation of Ebola.
