Leaks from Sierra Leone’s State House have revealed that a top secret mid-night meeting of senior state officials was held on Wednesday 28th January 2015 at the Goderich residence of a Sierra Leone/Nigerian businesswoman called Abie, a notorious 419 millionaire.
The secret meeting was attended by APC’s President Ernest Bai Koroma, Ibrahim Ben Kargbo, Frank Kargbo, Robin Farley, Leonard Balogun Koroma, Yansanneh (APC Sec-Gen), Minister Pat-Sow, Musa Tarawallie, Diana Konomanyi, Chrenor Maju Bah (Speaker of Parliament), SLPP’s Chief Sumanoh Kapen, John Oponjo Benjamin, Isatu Jabie (wife late Tejan Kabba) and Bernadette Lahai, among other ruling and opposition party members in Freetown and in the provinces.
The agenda included:
1. The 3rd term agenda for President Koroma:-
In this topic, a team was set up comprising most of the above members, including Sylvia Blyden, but funnily excluded Alpha Kanu. Reasons for excluding Alpha were untold. This team is to work tightly with few well-known names in the Sierra Leone media, Tunde Scott, APC Koroma, Lamranah Bah, Jarrah Kawusu-Konte, Ambush Commander, Cornelius Devoux and it is to be chaired by the former SEA, Miss Sylvia Blyden.
2. The pending Oil drilling issue in Sierra Leone:-
Here, Abie disclosed that the sum of 30 Billion US dollars is what Sierra Leone stands to benefit from the oil business in Sierra Leone. The meeting agreed that President Koroma announce to the public that Sierra Leone will benefit 6 billion US dollars and after the remaining 24Billion USD will be shared among them.
According to Abie, the 30 billion US dollars will be paid directly to Sierra Leone’s coffers from some Nigerian agents by end of 2018 and early 2019.
At this point, the meeting was taken over by murmuring and finally President Koroma emphasized that he gets a 3rd term so that he benefit from that money as a president, hence his 2 term would have ended and the money is to come after elections.
Everybody came out of the meeting with more eagerness to promote the 3rd term agenda of President Koroma. Fellow Sierra Leoneans, Sierra Leone has a lot ahead.
